I Call Bullshit! I don’t believe you don’t know your calling!
You keep telling me you don’t know your big call…
You tell me you need to get clear, clear, CLEAR on what your big vision is…
And you tell me that while you wait, you have to do anything you can to pay the bills…
And I understand that…
While you pretend to not know the bigger than big vision you have, I suppose you are going to have to do whatever you can to get through the day…
But honey. ..
I ain’t buying the theory that you do not know what to do.
Yes, you do know, ABSOLUTELY KNOW, what you really want to do…
Yes, you do know what your life is supposed to be about…
So, honey, I say BULLSHIT! !!
BULLSHIT on your nonsense…
Nonsense that is keeping you trapped in a good-enough life but nowhere near the real life you are called to…
Nowhere near it at all…
And it is such a pity…
Such a sad sorry pity that you would deny yourself the joy of work you love…
And also that you would deny your people, the people you are called to love and serve, that you would deny them the joy of your thing whatever it is…
That you would deny the planet the completeness of you stepping into your real call…
Such a pity.
And I know you think you don’t know, but you do…
The problem is you think it is a pipe dream…
You think it is impractical in the face of very real, looming bills and debts and all the usual demands of life…
And so it is easier to tell yourself that you don’t know and that you need to get clearer…
And to look with envy at those who seem to KNOW what their call is…
But honey, it is a lie…
A horrid lie.
But one you truly believe and that is the worst part…
You really do believe it. You really do believe you have no choice but to live this half-life thing…
And I am here to tell you to remember…
To remember what you dreamt of, before the responsibilities of life stole the dream from you…
Remember that…
And choose again to give it a go…
To create room in your life as it is now and do one small thing towards it each day…
To learn how to promote your thing…
And to commit to doing it…
Because deep down, leader, you know you want to!
Today, I spoke to someone who said exactly what you say…
And within the first 5 minutes of the call, she had gone from saying she did not know what she was supposed to do, to admitting that she, in fact, did…
But she thought she could not do it…
And she re-committed herself to it…
Because the truth is, you can make some money and find an element of happiness in the wrong service but you cannot find the fulfillment and the complete happiness, nor the true wealth you crave in the wrong service…
And truthfully, if you are the leader I think you are…
It is only a matter of time before you self-sabotage anything that takes you off your narrow path…
Honey, give the vision, the call, the MANDATE a chance to thrive…
It will literally make you feel complete.
