Unfortunately, I was one of those who loved God and even did the whole born again, accept Jesus stuff and still I did not much like myself. And there are many like I used to be though most would cloak their true feelings with the same 'Accept Jesus, everything will then be fine' thing while continually judging and judging themselves and telling themselves it is God who judges them. Even though they claim to believe in unconditional love.

Thanks for reading the post and for talking the time to comment. I do agree that a living, personal connection to God is essential but it is not enough because God gave us free will.

Love God (or whatever name you give to that higher power), Love yourself - BOTH are necessary. In some ways, loving/ liking yourself is absolutely critical because God ALWAYS loves whether he is acknowledged or not.
