What If It Does Work Out?

For whatever reason, our human nature keeps looking for the flaws in every plan.

We look for the ways everything can go wrong.
.
And when it comes to our vision, we find ourselves holding back because of all the limiting stories of doom and gloom we are conjuring up in our heads.

But here is a not-so-novel thought — What if you make it?

What if everything goes right?
.
What if you get the intimate lover?
.
What if you lose the weight?
.
What if you ask for the pay raise and you get it?
.
What if you go for that uber awesome job interview and you get it out of a hundred candidates?
.
What if your song sells 2 million copies?
.
What if your book becomes a NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER?
.
What if it all works out for you?
.
What then?
.
What if you could just choose to focus your mind on the possibilities, rather than all the potential things that could go wrong?

The truth is, you can.
.
You have all the power to choose where to focus your mind and the choice you make, will determine how far you go in life.

Some like to tell themselves that external issues keep them from their goals but it is a lie. For every excuse maker and his/her excuse, there is someone who had the same supposed disadvantages and is still thriving.

So why the heck not you?

It comes down to what you dwell on?

You cannot stop an errant thought from dropping in to play but you can choose whether you allow it to stick around or if you replace it…
