You Are No Performing Monkey For The Divine
How distorted your connection to Source has become?!
Doing this ritual & Saying that prayer in that specific way just to make sure that you get the result.
All the while, hoping, hoping that you do enough to avoid hell or to appease him/her enough to prosper or at the very least to be left alone.
Maybe it is the religious dogma you have been exposed to or the spiritual books you read, they all offer tips, tricks, strategies to help you manipulate the deity into giving you what you want.
Honey, the Divine is not withholding anything from you and also, the Divine is not watching and waiting to punish you for all eternity either.
You do not have to play these games.
There is a reason that people can choose to believe or not believe in the Divine without any bolts of lightning appearing out of the sky to destroy the ‘heathen’!
(And no, it is not because the Divine is biding time, waiting for some unknown moment in the future when he will destroy all life — I think if the world ever does implode, it will be we humans that do that!)
It is simply because the Divine is love, pure, unconditional love.
You are expecting love to do something that love will not do.
You are comparing Divine love to human conditional love and it is like comparing apples with oranges — 2 completely different things.
In all your performing or avoiding, you are missing something and you need to dig deeper to discover it.
